Privacy policy

This notice covers pgx.care and its PGx Care Vercel website. This is an education and community-event website, not a patient portal, clinic, laboratory, or emergency service. Independent clinics have their own privacy notices and consent processes.

• Newsletter: email address, individual/clinic selection, optional organization, consent version and timestamps, subscription status, and confirmation/unsubscribe records.
• Public directory: clinic and clinician names, business addresses, phone numbers, services, and approximate map coordinates supplied for publication.
• Operations and security: hosting services receive connection information such as IP address, requested URL, browser details, and time. Signup rate limits store a keyed hash derived from an IP address, not a raw IP address in the subscription database.

Please do not enter patient names, symptoms, medications, genetic results, or other health information in the organization field or newsletter form.

We use these details to publish the directory and event information, save newsletter requests, confirm your email, deliver opted-in updates, honor unsubscribe and privacy requests, prevent abuse, and maintain the website. Subscribing is optional and is not required to browse, contact a clinic, or attend an event.

Event pages automatically load an embedded Vimeo video player. Vimeo receives connection information, including your IP address. We request its do-not-track mode, but this does not prevent all connection data processing. See embedded video details.

Vercel hosts the website. DigitalOcean hosts a separate PGx Care database and our self-hosted Cap security service. Email delivery, when enabled, uses Postmark. Providers process data needed to supply these services.

The map connects to OpenStreetMap only when you choose Map. Calendar, directions, clinic, and educational links connect to their named services when you use them; those services apply their own policies. See Cookies & external services.

We do not sell newsletter information, use it for targeted advertising, or publish subscriber email addresses. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and security, or in a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards.

A saved request is pending, not an active subscription. You must confirm your email before receiving newsletter updates. Confirmation links expire 24 hours after the confirmation email is prepared. Unsubscribe through the link in an email; no login is needed. Unsubscribing stops future newsletter delivery but may retain a minimal suppression record to honor your choice.

The PGx Care subscriber list is separate from other websites. A subscription elsewhere does not enroll you here.

We retain subscription, consent, and suppression records while needed to administer your choices, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. Request deletion using the contact below. Confirmation tokens expire and are stored as hashes in subscriber records; temporarily queued email links are cleared after delivery or cancellation. Backups may retain earlier records until their normal rotation.

Access is restricted, connections use encryption in transit, and newsletter data is separate from clinic patient systems. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. This notice is not a claim that this public website is a HIPAA-covered patient portal.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, or appeal a response. Contact us to make a request. Where applicable, you may complain to the relevant privacy regulator. We do not require a newsletter subscription to exercise privacy rights.

The newsletter is intended for adults. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information should contact us.

Updates will appear here with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
